Donald Cerrone is one of the modern-day UFC legends. He came through the scenes in the lightweight division. Throughout his career, Cerrone competed in the 155lbs and 170lbs divisions. Although he was significantly big for lightweight, Donald always maintained a lean physique. But, he looks almost unrecognizable in his recent pictures following his retirement.
Nicknamed Cowboy, Cerrone posted some recent pictures of his sparring sessions. The 39-year-old has his own gym in New Mexico, called the “BMF Ranch.” Although Cowboy retired earlier in 2022, the fighter in him is still pretty much alive. He was hitting the pads in his gym. However, it was his muscular physique that gained all the attention.

The former UFC title contender looked much bigger than he did previously. In his fighting days, Cerrone had to maintain a certain weight constantly and control his diet. However, Cerrone does not have to restrain himself anymore and he has gained a lot of muscle. Cerrone stands over 6ft tall. Hence, it appears that his recent physique is his true form.
Fans compare Donald Cerrone with Conor McGregor and Liver King
Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has never tested positive for any banned substances throughout his illustrious career. During his UFC run, fans loved him for his ‘never say die’ attitude. Whenever the promotion needed someone to fill in on short notice for a big fight, Donald Cerrone stepped up. Although he has a spotless drug testing record, Donald’s recent physique is making the fans think otherwise.

One of Donald’s former opponents, Conor McGregor, is currently out of the USADA testing pool. On top of that, Conor is much beyond his optimal fighting shape. Hence fans are drawing comparisons between Conor and Donald Cerrone. But not just McGregor, some fans are also comparing Cerrone’s physique to Liver King as well. Recently, UFC commentator Joe Rogan slammed the Liver king for his admission of using PEDs.
MMA coach John Wood wrote, “What’s wrong with your arms?!? You having some kind of allergic reaction?”
UFC fighter Tyson Pedro added, “Damn Son, jacked.” Former UFC employee Dave Sholler jokingly replied, “Liver King OUT!” Former MMA fighter and actress Gina Carano also chimed in and wrote, “Terror On The Prairie.”
User @gamebred757 wrote, “Usada has left the chat.” User @mas.avy implied that Cerrone might be on PEDs and wrote, “LFG TRTerrone.” However, user @Locodiaz562 was much blunter and added, “steroids make a difference.”
Donald Cerrone last fought against Jim Miller at UFC 276. Miller submitted the veteran fighter in the second round of their fight. After his 7th successive fight without a win, Cowboy announced his retirement from the sport.
Cerrone is a former one-time lightweight title contender and has faced superstars like Tony Ferguson, Justin Gaethje, Conor McGregor, and Leon Edwards. At the time of his retirement, Cerrone had an MMA record of 36-17-2
