Henry Cejudo failed to get a title shot against Alexander Volkanovski as a replacement for Max Holloway. Dana’s reason didn’t quite satisfy the former double division champion. Following this, he attacked the “Notorious” Conor McGregor and ended up having a Twitter feud. Here is what happened.
At the UFC Fight Night post-fight press conference, a reporter asked Dana White about the whole Cejudo matter. Replying to this question, the UFC president pointed out that Cejudo retired two years ago. “Now he’s mad that he didn’t get a title shot, that doesn’t even make sense,” said White.
Resounding to the statements given by White, Cejudo tweeted his part of the story. He revealed beating TJ Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz was boring. Hence, he needed a break from the sport.
Dana, I needed a break. Honestly, it was getting boring beating up TJ Pillashaw in under a minute and Dominick Snooze in 2. I am now rejuvenated. I wanna be 4C. If I beat up an old guy at a bar and learn how to Riverdance will you give me a shot? https://t.co/xdfPUZxwDM

Cejudo took a dig at White. “If I beat up an old guy at a bar..will you give me a shot? ,” wrote Cejudo.
This statement was the reference to Conor Mcgregor’s incident when he hit an old man at a pub in Ireland for not drinking alcohol that Mcgregor offered him. However, despite all that White still gave him opportunities to fight title shots and huge PPV fights.
Henry Cejudo comes back with a witty reply to Conor McGregor ‘s “little fart” Tweet
It didn’t take Mcgregor a lot of time to respond to Cejudo’s remark. The Irishman tweeted “Henry Cejudo is a little fart“. To which, Cejudo reacted to Mcgregor’s tweet by saying Mcgregor’s cardio is very poor and he wouldn’t know anything about farting. “What do you know about farting? You always run out of gas,” wrote Cejudo.

It seems like Cejudo took his time nicely to come out with a reply like that. Moreover, it fits Mcgregor’s fighting style. However, nobody expected the year to start with a dispute between the two double champs of UFC. But, surprisingly Cejudo again tweeted saying that he respects Conor McGregor and wants to shake hands when they meet.
@TheNotoriousMMA I have nothing but respect for you. Hopefully when I see you we can shake hands and you can do a line off my head. pic.twitter.com/dWnI8ljkPR

It’s certainly delightful to see one double champ respecting the other. Hopefully, Conor and Henry will have a laugh about the feud in near future. In the meantime, Henry’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has confirmed Cejudo’s comeback in 2022. He assured fight fans that they will see the greatest combat athlete of all time in the year 2022.
