Recently, Khabib Nurmagomedov made a comment about Jose Aldo that disappointed many fans in the MMA community including Conor McGregor.
When asked about whether Jose Aldo can win the UFC bantamweight title, Khabib Nurmagomedov took a dig at UFC legend Joe Aldo and stated that he is only fighting for money at this point.
Jose Aldo did lose multiple fights in the featherweight division before moving down to bantamweight. And he lost to Petr Yan in a title fight. However, it will be hard to deny Aldo is taking on some of the best fighters in UFC in the process.
Khabib Nurmagomedov also recalled how fans thought Conor McGregor would go on to do great things in the lightweight division after his win against Donald Cerrone. However, McGregor has suffered two losses to Dustin Poirier since his last win against Cowboy.
Conor McGregor responded to Khabib’s comments in his recent tweets and said:
“This guy is still talking? Another press conference? You shit your pants of Cerrone your whole career. You pulled 3 times from him. Your father, God rest his soul, could not believe his eyes the way I beat Cerrone. You disrespect Cerrone and now Aldo too? You ran away. Shut up. “

Conor McGregor defends Jose Aldo
Khabib Nurmagomedov has pulled out of multiple fights due to his struggle with weight cutting. It’s not only Tony Ferguson who lost his opportunity to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in the UFC octagon. But the Eagle also pulled out of scheduled fights with Donald Cerrone due to a knee injury.
Conor McGregor also responded to Khabib’s comments on Jose Aldo and stated:
“Another press conference? Haha for what? You are doing a whole load of nothing mate. You and Cerrone were locked in to fight since way back and you never had the courage. You ran away and now all you do is talk like bitch. Aldo is 100 times the fighter you are, and ever will be.”
Recently, Conor McGregor got a ton of backlashes for his comments on Khabib and his father. However, it seems most of the fans are going to agree with McGregor this time.
Though Khabib’s comments about Aldo not becoming a UFC champion again makes sense. To suggest that he is fighting for money after losing to probably the best bantamweight right now in Petr Yan is absurd.
