Khamzat Chimaev shocked the world once again as he picked up a brutal KO win over Gerald Meerschaert at UFC Vegas 11. With this win, Chimaev has now recorded three straight wins inside the UFC octagon in just 66 days to once again etched his name in the history books. Earlier, fans were not sold on Chimaev despite picking up two straight victories within ten days to record the quickest successful turnaround in the history of UFC back in July this year.

Khamzat Chimaev walked the talk against Gerald Meerschaert after fights fans criticized the UFC for booking Chiamev with two fights even before his fight against Gerald. However, Chimaev did exactly what he said he would as he obliterated Meerschaert with a brutal right hand to end the fight in just 17 seconds into the first round. In the process, Chimaev picked up the third quickest finish in the history of the Middleweight division.

With back to back wins in the Middleweight division, Khamzat Chimaev is expected to take on Damien Maia next. Reacting to the brutal KO win, former Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones congratulated the rising prospect as he shared a photo with the Chechen fighter with the caption, “Congratulations my dude, youâre the real deal.”
Earlier, Khamzat CHiamev has revealed that he sees Jon Jones as the inspiration behind his MMA career. Not long ago, Chimaev had shared a photo with Jon Jones, calling him the greatest of all time.

What’s next for Khamzat Chimaev?
Khamzat Chimaev stated in the post-fight interview that he is ready to fight once again. Taking barely any damage in the fight, Chimaev once again put up a dominant performance inside the UFC octagon. Despite back to back wins at the Middleweight division, Chimaev has his eyes set on the Welterweight gold.

UFC President Dana White during the post-fight interview was in complete awe of the Chechen born fighter and claimed that he has never seen anybody like him inside the UFC octagon. While talking about his journey going forward, White stated that he won’t be surprised if Khamzat Chiamev takes on another fighter and ends up facing Maia too.
