Greg Hardy is one of the fewer athletes on the planet that has not only had a career in two different sports but has also worked in a plethora of organizations. Despite being given multiple doors in success, Hardy had a stunning fall from professional athletics grace over the last decade. And today, it appeared that the 34-year-old has taken to a regular Walmart job.

A decade ago, fans considered ‘Prince of War‘ to be one of the NFL’s best defensive athletes when he had double-digit sacks seasons. The Tennessee native had also earned a trip to the 2013 Pro Bowl as a member of the Carolina Panthers.

The following year, however, things fell apart after a disturbing domestic violence incident involving his then-girlfriend surfaced. This led to the team, that drafted him in 2010, cutting ties with Hardy after 5 seasons. It is worth mentioning tho that the Dallas Cowboys gave him a second chance in 2015. However, more off-the-field issues led to the former UFC athlete’s tenure with them being short-lived.

On Thursday, it seemed that Greg had now settled for a 9-5 job at Walmart. The 34-year-old took to Instagram to reveal the difficulty of bearing a regular job, especially after signing up for a gig with a “marketing company.” As per the hilarious clip, the aforementioned marketing firm had set him up to sign up potential customers for Spectrum internet accounts.

Aside from greeting folks at the Walmart based in Garland, Texas, Greg also appeared to complain about his newly found job and how the customers treat him. However, a recent report suggests that Greg might not be really working for Walmart after all.

Is Greg Hardy really working at Walmart?

As soon as Greg posted the video, the whole MMA community came together to speculate about the ex-UFC fighter’s downfall. At the same time, some current and former NFL players reacted with laughing emojis, while encouraging the 34-year-old for simply having a job.

Greg seemingly invited haters to “heckle” him in the above-mentioned clip, if they so inclined. And plenty of Twitter reactions prove they were more than happy to oblige.

However, hours after the clip started making rounds on the internet, Hardy took to Instagram to post a follow-up to his “new job.” As per the new clip, Greg seems to assert that he was joking in his previous video. “Yo, don’t believe this dumb s**t … Gotta clear things up cuz its 2023, y’all be wilding out here,” said Hardy.

He continued, “So obviously I don’t work at Walmart. I’m out here trying to learn some new skills. and if y’all been paying attention that’s what I do. Infiltrate, start at the bottom, learn the skills, then attack. You know what I’m saying? That’s how we made over a million in the UFC, bro. We gonna keep going, but stay tuned.”

Even though Greg Hardy ended up claiming the now-viral clip to be a troll job, it sure did put a smile on many of his fans and critics alike. While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having that job, it would have been quite the fall from grace for an athlete who has graced some of the biggest stages in multiple sporting organizations.

What do you make of the temporary yet hysterical idea of the ‘Prince of War’ working a regular 9-5 job? Do let us know in the comments down below.
