Price vs Rowe: Fight Breakdown
Niko Price is more experienced and has fought some of the best fighters in the division. He is one of the most electrifying welterweights and knows how to entertain the fans in every fight. Price often brawls when on his feet and this strategy has worked for him well. However, by storming his opponents he often neglects his defense and this could be a big mistake in this fight.
Price is a good striker but surely he will have a little ring rust this weekend. He utilizes his long-range weapons and lengthy reach to capitalize on his opponents but that wouldn’t be much effective against Rowe. Price also has a good ground game and he is expected to go for early takedown attempts, however, he must be aware of the dangerous skills of his opponent at all times.
Meanwhile, Philip Rowe will have a striking advantage in this matchup. If he can adapt to his opponent’s aggressive fighting style and use sharp counters he will have a good chance of getting an early win. Rowe is also a very tall welterweight and often uses his long reach to tear down his opponents from the outside.
His weakness is his takedown defense and given Price’s superior wrestling, Rowe must be ready to defend his opponent’s ground and pound. Rowe also has slick jiu-jitsu and on the feet, his ability to exploit Price’s weakness can earn him a victory.
Who will leave the cage victorious?
Going into this fight, Rowe will have a significant height and reach advantage over Price. Rowe’s sharp striking and powerful counters will also be his key to victory. If he can capitalize on Price’s weaknesses on his feet and avoid any dangerous brawl, he can outpoint his opponent as well.
However, Price is the more experienced fighter here, having shared the octagon with the likes of Cerrone, Pereira, and Luque. Price also has the wrestling to take down Rowe and control the fight from there.
Rowe has the striking and submission skills to win this bout and Price will take a little time to overcome the rust. Anyone can win this bout but fans can expect Price to go out there and use his aggressive striking to overwhelm Rowe before dragging him to the ground and winning the bout via decision.
