UFC 284 is up and underway with some incredible results already. With the fights unfolding right now at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, let’s take a look at some of the results. Firstly, we are taking a look at the featured welterweight fight between Jack Della Maddalena and Randy Brown.
Prior to the interim featherweight title fight between Yair Rodriguez and Josh Emmett, the two welterweights took the stage. Coming in with a lot of hype behind him, Jack had to deliver in front of his home crowd. As for Randy Brown, the American came in with a 4-fight win streak, his career-best in the UFC.

For the most part, Randy made the quicker start, taking the center and throwing quick jabs. On the other hand, Jack Della stayed mostly on the outside. Although Brown took the early lead, Jack remained composed in the early moments. However, Jack is still chipping away, landing a few leg kicks of his own.
Randy Brown stayed active for a bit more, throwing some good kicks, but nothing too damaging. Eventually, Della Maddalena blitzes forward and takes the fight to Brown. Landing a huge right, Jack had Brown against the corner, with the American trying everything he could to get out of it. However, Jack Della continues his relentless pursuit and chases down Brown.
Getting a hold of his man, Jack Della sinks in the Rear Naked choke. A few seconds later, Brown taps and it is all over! Jack Della Maddalena gets it done in front of an ecstatic home crowd. Following the fight, Jack took to the mic and spoke about the fans, his hometown, and his “cool as a cucumber” performance. After his victory over Brown, Jack will now be going on vacation and will look to make his return against a Top 15 fighter next.
