SUMMARY
- Renato Moicano took a shot at the MMA Guru in his post-fight interview.
- Moicano went live on YouTube right after the event ended and further addressed his views about MMA Guru.
The MMA Guru is a YouTuber who is widely recognized all over social media in MMA circles. While not much information is available about his real name, people know all about his opinions on MMA, fighters, events, and more. The oldest video on his YouTube channel is more than 5 years old. And ever since, the UFC enthusiast has been covering the sport.
The MMA commentator joined YouTube in 2017 and currently has 152K subscribers. Fans have fallen in love with the UK resident’s blunt commentary and straightforward, no-nonsense way of putting his opinion forward.
The MMA Guru has called out many UFC fighters and also exposed some of them in a few cases. If anything controversial takes place in MMA, there is always a case study of the same on The MMA Guru’s YouTube channel.
While it often happens that the YouTuber calls out MMA fighters and accuses them of wrongdoings and passes judgment on their lives and fights; it rarely happens the other way around. Not often, do UFC fighters respond to what the YouTuber says or call him out of the blue in octagon interviews.
Renato Moicano calls MMA Guru a ‘f*cking pig’ in octagon interview
The UFC APEX performance center in Las Vegas, Nevada, hosted UFC Vegas 85 on February 3, 2024. The event saw Renato Moicano get his 10th UFC win and his second consecutive win. The Brazilian fighter was up against the American Drew Dober.
Renato Moicano was pretty much in control of the whole fight and secured three takedowns, which were the primary reason for the unanimous decision going in his favor. But it was what happened after the fight that caught the eye of many UFC fans. Moicano went on to give one of the most outrageous UFC Octagon interviews in recent times.
Still can’t believe Renato Moicano called me out live on a UFC broadcast it only took nearly 6 years of covering this sport to happen. Shout out @moicanoufc we will be doing a collab on his youtube channel “money moicano” some time soon. #UFCVegas85 #UFC pic.twitter.com/HhCikbxyyc

During this interview, Renato Moicano even plugged in his own YouTube channel. After which, he proceeded to call out The MMA Guru. Renato Moicano said, “Hey MMA Guru, you’re (a) f*cking pig. You say I will get slapped by Drew Dober… and I screwed this motherf*cker.”
This is not the whole story, though. Renato Moicano went live on YouTube right after the event ended, while still in an ambulance. He further addressed his views about MMA Guru. Moicano bantered about how he was going to beat MMA Guru on the streets. Then he said how it was disrespectful of the YouTuber to message him on Instagram and say he was going to lose to Dober.
He went on to clarify how he understands Guru’s role in the MMA community and praised the YouTuber. Moicano first thanked Guru for his livestream donation and then said, “Thank you so much, MMA Guru I know you are doing good for this sport, I am just doing a joke because at the end of the day, I know what is your role in the MMA community.”

He further complimented Guru and then went on to dismiss him in the same sentence. Moicano said, “You doing a great job my brother. But f*ck you if I see you face to face. I’m gonna slap you my brother, on the face.” The banter between the fighter and the YouTuber was appreciated by fans across the internet. But it isn’t always banter when it comes to MMA Guru.
What is MMA Guru’s beef with other UFC fighters?
The supposed beef with Renato Moicano is not the first and will not be the last in MMA Guru’s career. There have been other times when he has gotten into some rather iconic but heated moments with former and current UFC fighters. Let’s just say that if The MMA Guru ever decides to attend a UFC event, he will have his enemies waiting for him in the stands.
Perhaps the biggest controversy on his YouTube channel was not one that involved him. But rather about the former UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya. When the videos of Israel Adesanya mouth-feeding his dog (mouth-to-mouth) surfaced on the Internet, along with the inconceivable video of Adesanya touching his dog’s private parts.
Guru was one of the first to give his opinions on the matter, as he posted several videos about the matter. But one of those blew up on the internet. In the same video, the MMA Guru practically posted his intricate research on the Adesanya matter and exposed him for his weird dog fetish in front of the world around 4 months ago.
Apart from Adesanya, MMA Guru has had beefs with two other former UFC champions. He made Aljamain Sterling, the former UFC bantamweight champion, apologize to him on YouTube after Guru’s fans made Sterling believe that Guru was paralyzed in a street fight.
Apart from this, Guru has been super critical of Michael Bisping‘s commentary skills at UFC events for a long time now. Guru has criticized Bisping for his lack of knowledge regarding the sport many times too. This feud, though, was always one-sided, until Bisping called out MMA Guru on YouTube in one of his videos.
Bisping said, “MMA Guru is just a short, fat, little, miserable hater on everyone, and that’s about it. He’s just a short, fat, ugly as well. Ugly little disgusting person. You know what I mean? I mean fair play to him for having a YouTube channel, because I could not look at my own reflection if I look like that.”
Bisping didn’t stop the roasting here and went on to say, “And he needs a shower and needs to bloody brush his teeth by the looks of him, I bet his breath stinks. And take the beanie off. Have a shower, you little scrotum.”
While Guru certainly has made his fair share of enemies out of ex-champions in the UFC, he does have a current champion whom he can call his friend. Only around 2 weeks ago, before Dricus du Plessis won the UFC Middleweight Championship, he was featured in an interview with the MMA Guru. They certainly share a good relationship.
