Jiri Prochazka vs Dominick Reyes

UFC Vegas 25 is in the books now and we witnessed some of the best performances of this year. The knockout by Jiri Prochazka and the TKO finish by Giga Chikadze have sent shock waves through the MMA community.

Jiri Prochazka secured a violent finish over the former title challenger Dominick Reyes in the main event. He has beaten two former title challengers in his short UFC stay so far and he is on the right path to becoming one of the biggest stars in UFC. Besides heaps of praises from the fans, Jiri Prochazka also earned a handsome amount of money for his win over Dominick Reyes.

As per a recent report by MMA Manifesto Prochazka’s fight purse for UFC Vegas 25 was $214,000 including $50,000 for the performance of the Night bonus and $50,000 for the fight of the night bonus.

On the other hand, Dominick Reyes made $131,000 for his fight against Prochazka including $50,000 for the fight of the night bonus.

Gig Chikadze who took on UFC veteran Cub Swanson earned a fight purse of $116,000 with a $50,000 performance of the night bonus. Swanson made $121,000 for his fight at UFC Vegas 25.

It has to be noted that these figures are not released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and are an approximate estimation based on the past fight purses of the UFC fighters.

What’s next for Jiri Prochazka?

Jiri Prochazka knocked out Dominick Reyes, who arguably beat Jon Jones, the greatest light heavyweight of all time. The amount of experience Prochazka has is insane when you consider he is only 28 years old.

And with performances like these, it’s only a matter of time he takes on the UFC light heavyweight champion,. Jan Blachowicz has already called out Prochazka following his KO win over Reyes. However, he will need to defend his title against Glover Teixeira next.

Dominick Reyes ko loss

Meanwhile, a fight between Alexander Rakic and Jiri Prochazka for the number one contender spot in the division makes the most sense.

Despite the lackluster performance against Thiago Santos, Alexander Rakic is still one of the biggest threats to Jan Blachowicz’s light heavyweight title. And Alexander Rakic has the potential to give a tough challenge to the rising star of the division, Jiri Prochazka.
