UFC Vegas 49: Misha Cirkunov vs Wellington Turman – Fight Breakdown
Misha Cirkunov had a very good start to his time in the UFC. He won all 4 of his initial fights. But his momentum came to a halt after facing Volkan Oezdemir in 2017. Since then he has been on an up and down run. He will face Wellington Turman this Saturday in order to regain his winning momentum.
On opponent, Turman is a young middleweight who has only had 5 fights in the promotion. However, he hasn’t had a good run in the UFC. He has lost 3 fights out of 5. But he did manage to win his last bout against Sam Alvey via decision.

Both Cirkunov and Turman are very good on the ground and are black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The majority of their wins in their respective careers came via submissions. Hence, there are two potential ways this fight may play out. Either both of them will try to avoid the ground game of the other and keep the fight standing, or they will engage in a grappling contest and whoever makes a mistake, gets submitted.
