UFC Vegas 50 will go down this weekend at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, Thiago Santos will be taking on Magomed Ankalaev. In the main card, Sodiq Yusuff will step inside the UFC octagon to take on Alex Caceres in a featherweight showdown.
Yusuff will look to return to a more active schedule after only competing once in 2020 and 2021 respectively. The “Super” recently suffered his first octagon loss against Arnold Allen at UFC Vegas 23, which snapped Yusuff’s six-fight win streak. Prior to that, the 28-year-old earned an unanimous decision victory over Andre Fili at UFC 246.
Caceres will enter the bout on a five-fight win streak which is the longest of his professional career. “Bruce Leeroy” capped off his second straight unbeaten year with a comeback second round submission win over Seung Woo Choi at UFC Vegas 41. The 33-year-old’s current streak also includes victories over Kevin Croom and Chase Hooper.

Sodiq Yusuff vs Alex Caceres Fight Breakdown and Prediction
Prior to his first defeat as a UFC fighter, Yusuff was on an impressive climb up the featherweight division. During this climb, Yusuff was in close fights but took the victory because he understands how to inflict damage with his impressive power, both in his hands and legs alike.
Alex Caceres’s best attribute as a fighter is his slick movement on the mat. Interestingly, although Caceres is quite dangerous with securing a submission victory, he also has a tendency of getting submitted himself as 7 of his 12 losses came via submission.
They can both grapple, but this should be a thrilling stand-up battle with Caceres having a slight height and reach advantage. Yusuff has the edge when it comes to speed and power, but Caceres has the experience and a rare patch of consistent form so he will be very confident.
