Bobby Green will fight on the main card of UFC Vegas 66 on December 17th in the Apex facility. Green last fought against Islam Makhachev in February of this year. But, Islam was too good for Bobby and beat him in the first round itself. Drew Dober will welcome him back to the Octagon this weekend.
Drew Dober is on a good two-fight win streak and both wins came via KO finishes. His bout against Terrance McKinney was extremely entertaining and Dober was in a lot of trouble early on in the bout. But, he weathered the early storm and managed to recover fairly quickly. He then went on to knock McKinney out within the first 4 minutes.

But Bobby Green is no stranger to first-round wins himself. He beat Al Iaquinta via first-round KO at UFC 268. He also beat Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 271 via unanimous decision. As a matter of fact, five of his last six wins came via judges’ decisions. But, Bobby has to be prepared for a head-on collision against Drew this weekend. Can he live up to the task? Let’s find out.

Can Dober knockout Green at UFC Vegas 66?
Bobby Green is a veteran fighter with 19 fights in the UFC. On his 20th fight in the UFC, the 36-year-old will fight one of the most powerful punchers in the division. Islam Makhachev knocked Bobby out in his last bout. So Green definitely has to avoid getting hit with a clean strike on the chin. Otherwise, it may be a very short night for him at the office.

Bobby secures 1.34 takedowns per fight and has 8 career submissions wins. However, the only time he submitted an opponent in the UFC was his debut bout against Jacob Volkmann at UFC 156. Nicknamed “King,” Bobby averages 5.88 strikes per minute and absorbs 3.65 strikes in return. Although his defense rate is not bad, he will have to be on high alert against Drew Dober.
Dober’s striking stats in the UFC tell the whole story about his game. He lands 4.47 strikes and absorbs 4.16 strikes per minute. The 34-year-old has no problem putting himself on the firing line to get a potential stoppage. He has been successful in that approach and his 12 KO wins are evidence of that. But, Dober also has 6 submissions to his name as well.

Drew Dober has fought twice in 2022 and has won on each occasion. But, the same can not be said for Bobby Green. He is coming off a long layoff and at his age, such a long absence can be a potentially bad thing. Judging by the circumstances and recent form, Drew Dober should be the favorite to beat Bobby Green this weekend.
