Lina Lansberg will be back inside the Octagon for her 11th fight in the UFC. She made her UFC debut on the back of an amazing kickboxing career. Lina will take on Mayra Bueno Silva in the prelims of UFC Vegas 69. Mayra will have her 8th fight in the UFC this weekend.
The former champion kickboxer is coming off 3 successive losses. She has lost to Sara McMann, Pannie Kianzad, and Karol Rosa in her last 3 outings inside the Octagon. Her last win was against Macy Chiasson in 2019. So Lina will desperately try to get back to winning ways after almost 3 years. She made her UFC debut against the former champ Cris Cyborg in 2016. Since then, Lina has had a UFC record of 4 wins and 6 losses.

Mayra Bueno Silva fought Stephanie Egger in August 2022. Although many favored Egger to get over the line, Mayra beat her via submission in the fight. She also defeated Wu Yanan in the fight prior to that. Her last defeat was against Manon Fiorot in August 2021. So Silva has been on a good run since then. While Lina looks to break her losing streak, Silva is aiming to extend her winning run. Who wins this Saturday? Let’s find out.

Lansberg vs Silva: Fight Breakdown
Lina Lansberg is 40 years of age and that may play a factor in the fight. Will her reflexes be as sharp against Mayra Bueno Silva, who is almost 9 years younger than her? On top of that, she is going up against a fighter who uses grappling as her primary weapon. It does not bode well for Lina, who already has 4 submission losses to her record.

The 40-year-old, herself, is yet to register a submission to her name. Out of her 10 career wins, she has 4 KO wins and 6 wins via decision. So it does not seem likely that Lansberg will come out looking a finish. As per UFC stats, Lina only lands 2.70 strikes per minute. In terms of absorption rate, her opponents land 3.86 strikes per minute. In contrast, Bueno Silva lands 4.23 strikes per minute.

The 31-year-old has 1 KO win and 6 submission wins. But unlike Lina Lansberg, Mayra Bueno Silva has never been finished in her career. Although she may not have a polished striking game like Lina, Bueno Silva is more than capable of ending a fight with a swift submission. While both fighters are capable of winning the bout via decision, Bueno Silva remains the favorite to get the finish.
