Sweden-born Bernardo Sopai will make his UFC debut against Vinicius Oliveira on March 2 at UFC Vegas 87. Oliveira was initially set to take on Y. Ghemmouri on the preliminary card of this weekend’s event. First reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting, Oliveira vs Ghemmouri is off!
The latest UFC signing, Bernardo Sopai, will step inside the UFC Octagon on five days’ notice. It’s interesting to note that Sopai was already scheduled to defend his AFN title against Ricardo Monteiro on March 9 at Allstars Fight Night 5 in Sweden. Sopai joins Khamzat Chimaev, Jack Hermansson, and Pannie Kianzad, among other UFC fighters, to come out from Sweden.

He is 11-2 in his mixed martial arts career, out of which 10 wins have come via stoppage. The Swedish fighter has never suffered a knockout or submission loss in his MMA journey.
UFC Vegas 87 features some exciting match-ups
UFC Vegas 87 will feature Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the main event as he takes on undefeated Shamil Gaziev. The latter has never lost a fight in his mixed martial arts career and boasts a 100% finish rate.
In the co-main event of the evening, Tyson Pedro will take on Vitor Petrino in the UFC’s light-heavyweight division. Umar Nurmagomedov also made his UFC return against another UFC newcomer, Bekzat Almakhan. Umar is 16-0 in his professional career and is slowly becoming a massive name in the UFC’s Bantamweight division.
Mohammad Mokaev will also look to extend his winning streak to 12 straight wins as he takes on Alex Perez on the main card.
