Douglas Crosby is receiving backlash from UFC fans the world over. The MMA judge came under the scrutiny of fans after his decision to award Paddy Pimblett as the winner in Pimblett vs Gordon at UFC 282. That’s not all, Crosby was also part of the controversial decision in Raufeon Stots vs Danny Sabatello at Bellator 289.
In the case of Bellator 289, Crosby awarded all five rounds, with a 50-45 score in favor of Sabatello in a razor-close fight for the Bellator bantamweight title. While Stots picked up a split-decision victory, all that the fans could talk about was Crosby’s “horrible” scorecard. This was the first time in the history of MMA, that a 50-45 was scored in the favor of the losing fighter.
Douglas Crosby’s scorecard at UFC 282 and Bellator 289 draws flak from MMA fans around the world
Needless to say, after his blunder at Bellator 289, it was quite surprising that the commission found him fitting to make him sit for UFC 282 in a hugely anticipated co-main event.

MMA Dominance CEO even went to the length of claiming that will request the commission to ban Douglas Crosby as a judge for his work. Crosby has been in the headline on multiple occasions, earlier earning the wrath of UFC fans during Gray Maynard vs Frankie Edgar scorecards and several other fights during these past years.
The co-main featured BJ Penn vs. Frankie Edgar. To be fair, the fight was close at times. However, to the fans and the eyes of most media members, Penn did much of the better work.
Instead, Edgar began his historic lightweight run by decision. Crosby scored it 50-45 Edgar. pic.twitter.com/rggnq3XrfU

It’s insane to learn that Douglas Crosby has been in the business since 2022, and started his UFC journey as a judge back at UFC 35. Over the years, he has judged some of the greatest fights in the history of UFC, including Israel Adesanya vs Robert Whittaker at UFC 271, Josh Emmett vs Calvin Kattar, Justin Gaethje vs Michael Chandler, Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou back at UFC 220, Anderson Silva vs Derek Brunson at UFC 208, and Georges St-Pierre vs Dan Hardy among other notable fights.
Other than being an MMA judge, Douglas Crosby is a prominent name in Hollywood, helping MMA fighters among other struggling artist. Crosby has even worked with the likes of Russel Crowe, working as a stuntman.
