Next, she competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, held in 2021 due to COVID-19. Everyone had high hopes for Biles when she entered the Tokyo Olympic Games.
However, she withdrew from several events just before the finals after suffering from “the twisties,” a mental condition where a gymnast loses their spatial orientation while performing aerial moves. Biles took a two-year break from professional gymnastics. She finally made a historic comeback at the U.S. World Championship, where she won her eighth all-around title.

“So I think just showing up and putting that work and that effort in really came to play. As long as I showed up for another day and kept putting that work in, then it kind of went down and dwindled,” she added.
The 26-year-old gymnast further shared that this year, she is more focused on taking care of her mental health and not repeating what happened last time. She is giving herself time, going to therapy, and balancing her professional and personal life.
