There seems to be a budding feud in the Beckham family as reports are coming in that Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz aren’t getting along and are reportedly in a cold war against each other. Nicola is the wife of Victoria and David’s eldest son, Brooklyn.
Victoria and David Beckham married in 1999 and their eldest son Brooklyn was born four months before the lavish wedding ceremony took place. Besides Brooklyn. The two are parents to Romeo James, Cruz David, and Harper Seven.
Nicola is an actress by profession and is the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz. She started dating Brooklyn, a model in 2019 and got engaged in 2020. They got married in a lavish wedding ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida on April 9, 2022.

The rumors around the tiff had started doing rounds on the internet around the time of the wedding as there was reportedly a clash between the two over Nicola’s dress for the wedding. Nicola had refused to wear one of Victoria’s designers which had pissed off her mother-in-law.
“She was always just going to let her design something. But she was never going to put that on her. She has too many actually talented designer friends,” said a source who was reportedly close with the family.

The rumors caught more fire when Nicola was reported to have left her reception in tears after one of the friends of the Beckham family had given a speech that had not mentioned the bride, Nicola, at all. Nicola since has been on edge with Victoria as well as the other members of the Beckham family.
Nicola’s storming off from the reception hadn’t gone well with Victoria and it was reported that two couldn’t stand each others sight for quite some time after this episode. It has been alleged that the storming off didn’t go down with David as well who was also angry with Nicola after the incident.

There were also speculations made that The Last Airbender actress was jealous and pissed off due to the attention her famous mother-in-law got. Victoria rose to prominent fame in the 90s when she was part of the girl group Spice Girls and was nicknamed Posh Spice. She then turned her attention toward fashion design and has now become an internationally recognized style icon and fashion designer.
Nicola, on the other hand, isn’t short of fame herself. She has a wide fanbase and has featured in movies like The Last Airbender, Transformers: Age of Extinction. She has also featured in some TV series’ like Bates Motel and When The Streetlights Go On.

Nicola and Victoria were in awe of each other before, Victoria was heard saying “Nicola is just wonderful” during a December 2020 appearance on the UK talk show Lorraine. And Nicola even posted a photo on her mother-in-law’s birthday in 2021 and wrote: “Happy Birthday Victoria! I hope all your wishes come true. You’re such a role model to me. I love you so so much!”

Nicola and Brooklyn denied all the claims about the feud and addressed the rumors in an interview with Variety. Nicola talked about how the media stretched the topic of her wearing a Valentino over a wedding gown designed by Victoria.
She said “I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” said Peltz. “She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”
“I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.” Brooklyn added that the media try to make a controversy out of nothing and make headlines.
Victoria Beckham extends support to son Brooklyn and his wife
Victoria Beckham also seemed to have addressed the issue indirectly on an episode of the Armchair Podcast with Dax Shepard where she talked about how close the Beckham family was and how she and her husband were ready to support their children
She said, “We’re so close to our children, I think it’s all about communication. You’re just trying to do the best that you can as a parent and support your kids. You want them to be happy, hard-working, good, kind human beings.”
She also talked about how they believe in letting their children make their own choices and believe in them. She added “But ultimately, you know, the kids have got to do what they’re going to do. You’ve just got to be there to support them and love them.”
Victoria was full of love for Nicola before their wedding when she talked about her on her appearance on a UK talk show Lorraine. She described Nicola as sweet and adorable and was happy for the choice that her son had made.
She said, “She’s sweet, she’s kind, she’s such a lovely, warm, wonderful, wonderful woman. We couldn’t have asked for Brooklyn to meet a more adorable, lovely lady. We are very happy. We love her. He’s so happy.”
Brooklyn and Nicola were also present at the Paris Fashion Week to support Victoria. It seems as if Nicola and Victoria have brushed aside their feud and have reconciled with each other which is happy news for the other members of the family especially Brooklyn.
