Both Benavidez and Charlo have been feuding for quite some time now, and have shared words on social media on various occasions in the past. This time was no different, as Charlo shared his thoughts on the possibility of fighting Benavidez and left the doors open to defend his WBC welterweight gold. Charlo is set to defend his WBC middleweight strap against Maciej Sulecki on June 18.

Both Charlo and Benavidez remain undefeated inside the ring. A scrap between the two could arguably emerge as one of the most entertaining bouts in super-middleweight history. Moreover, it could open the possibility of an undisputed clash in the super-middleweight division for the fifth belt with Canelo Alvarez.

With the victory, Spence Jr. now holds the WBC and IBF welterweight titles, along with WBA (Super) middleweight gold. Spence Jr. called out Terence Crawford following the bout. Needless to say, he will look to unify the welterweight division and become the fourth undisputed boxing champion of the modern era.
