The president of the WTA, Mickey Lawyer said that the legendary Serena Williams can still win a grand slam and equal her tally of 24 grand slams with another legend Margaret Court. Speaking about Serena, the President said “Yes. Serena is capable of everything. Serena should never be ruled out. She is a phenomenon of sportsman and also humanly. It is interesting to note that the last Grand Slam for Serena came in the year 2017 and since then she has been denied the chance to stand at the podium and equal the record. But he thinks that Serena still has a lot more to offer and she will once again come out on top and create her own legacy. “If she wins that last Grand Slam and equals Margaret Court’s record, it’s also historic. And this is the positive of it all. That we can’t really lose anything in any case and neither can she. It won’t surprise me if she wins, obviously.” claimed Mickey Lawyer.
