Multiple time WWE Women's Champion Bayley used to get compared to WWE legend John Cena during her run as a babyface on NXT and the main roster.

Bayley used to play a beloved fan-favorite babyface character during her first WWE run. She was seen as someone who would never turn to the dark side in her career just like John Cena.

The comparisons ended in 2019 when Bayley surprisingly turned heel by attacking Becky Lynch on an episode of Raw. Since that incident, Bayley has been one of WWE's best heels on the roster.

In an interview with Dr. Beau Hightower, the former Raw Women's Champion opened up about how she feels about people comparing her to big stars like John Cena and Ricky Steamboat.

Bayley said that her peers used to tell her that they couldn't see any evil in her character. She also admitted that it was necessary for her to turn heel and it happened at the right time.

After her heel turn, Bayley was able to bring freshness to her character. She also had some memorable programs as a heel. Her work during the pandemic era was praised by many.

Bayley during her return at SummerSlam 2022 brought Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky with her. The trio formed the group Damage CTRL and they've been a big part of WWE programming in recent times.

Bayley and her Damage CTRL buddies are now scheduled to face off against Becky Lynch, Lita and Trish Stratus in a 6 women's tag team match at WrestleMania 39.
