During the final moments of his speech, Reigns said something that left fans in the arena speechless: "I've been here many times, you know what I'm saying? I've been here a couple of times in the past 10 years. And I'm starting to work into a new phase in my career, and I honestly don't know if I'll be back here again. If that's the case, I just wanna say thank you for all these years of support

Then came word that he had signed a new WWE deal that required him to do fewer house shows.

Reigns will be gone from WWE TV for a spell beginning next month, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. He's presently booked for an episode of SmackDown on June 24 in Austin, Texas, but no live events or TV tapings are scheduled for July or August.

He's reportedly booked for live events at the beginning of October, which suggest Roman Reigns is taking a break the whole summer.

"So basically he'll be gone for 10 weeks?" Bryan Alvarez questioned Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer confirmed that and then added that while Reigns is listed as appearing at Money in the Bank (July 2) and SummerSlam (July 30), there's no guarantee he'll be there.
