TONY FERGUSON

EL CUCUY

“”

Tony Ferguson is widely regarded as the Boogeyman of the UFC LW division

Here's a look at some of  Tony Ferguson's epic bloody wars in the UFC.

“”

The El Cucuy, Tony Ferguson has been on the top of the UFC LW ladder for well over a decade now.  Ferguson has been competing in the UFC since 2011. After winning the TUF Season-13,  He secured a UFC contract. Then Ferguson went on a legendary 12-Fight win streak stretching from 2013-19.

Edson Barboza

It was a clash of LW Titans as Ferguson took on perennial top contender Edson Barboza. It was a crazy fight as both fighters handed heavy blows in the first round and started bleeding profusely, It was Ferguson's cardio that helped him to keep the pace high & finally submitted Barboza in round 2.

Josh Thompson

In 2015, The El Cucuy was set to take on fellow top contender Josh Thompson, who was coming of a huge win over Nate Diaz.  In a wild fight that won fight of the night honors Ferguson got the better of Thompson as he knocked him down early and landed several more significant strikes. At the end, Ferguson was able to secure a UD victory.

Anthony Pettis

Ferguson stepped in on short notice as the co. main event for UFC-229, which was a Conor McGregor super card, which later sold 2.24M PPV buys. But it was Ferguson's epic performance vs Pettis that caught the eyeballs of the fans & made him a instant sensation. They won "The Fight of the Year" honours for 2018.

Now Ferguson is definitely at the Tail End of his career and holds a 26-5 MMA record and has been on a 2-fight slump. He is now set to take on fellow top UFC LW Beneil Dariush.
