Lionel Messi is the Argentina star and currently playing for PSG. Messi needed treatment for increasing his height as he suffered from growth deficiency.

He was a brilliant footballer at a young age, but he was shorter and was a lot more fragile than other kids due to this disorder.

Messi was diagnosed with GHD at the age of 11. The Argentinian clubs were not ready to shell their money out to treat him well.

The treatment cost $900 per month and he was not that rich to afford it. Later he came to Barcelona and signed the contract along with his father.

Then Messi joined the revered La Masia academy and he was given to an expert who can medically treat him to help him out of this situation.

Board members of Argentina were not ready to sign him due to his short height and per-year expense. The expense was more than a youth player could have in a year.

Still, the player signed in with a contract and joined the under-14 squad in 2001. 2014 he made his first La Liga debut for the club.

The 35-year-old has come a long way since then. He has scored many goals for Barcelona and now showing brilliance in PSG too. Taking his national team to the Qatar world cup for the 5th time.
