Another set back came in 2011, When Cerrrone finished Oliveira via TKO in Round-1 through a body kick followed by punches.
Once again in 2012 when Oliveira was just gaining the momentum back after moving down to Featherweight. But Cub Swanson finished Oliveira in the first round with a left hook to the body followed up by a vicious right hand to the head.
After picking up 4 back-to-back victories Oliveira found himself in a title eliminator spot with Holloway. But unfortunately Oliveira injured his neck while attempting a takedown, which added another stoppage loss to his regime.
Oliveira was ranked #6 in the 2017 Featherweight rankings & was just a win away from a title shot. But Oliveira fell shot even after dominating Pettis for a major part of 3 rounds. As Pettis was able to submit Oliveira in the third round via a guillotine.
It was the first time that Oliveira suffered back-to-back loses as he was finished once again via a guillotine choke in the second round by Lamas.
Felder finished Oliveira in the second round at UFC-218 with vicious elbows from the mount position. This was the last time that Oliveira lost inside the UFC octagon till date.
