Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards are squaring off for the third time at UFC 286's main event to settle the battle once and for all.
In their second fight, Usman dominated the entire fight before Edwards knocked him out with a head kick in the closing minute of Round 5, ending Usman's long reign as champion.
Usman has been the stronger fighter in their last two meetings, dominating almost every second of both fights, but it was Edwards' head kick that sparked their rivalry.
"It's weird because on the ride to the hospital that night, I was already over it, When you feel that sense of relief from all the expectations, you just hear it all quiet down." said Usman.
Fans believe Usman is going to win back his championship in their third fight, but after his appearance at the UFC 286 weigh-ins, many are sceptical.
Several fans have pointed out Usman's left knee, which looked bruised and stiff, and are afraid that it will affect his performance in his upcoming fight against Leon Edwards.
Usman has suffered from knee issues for his entire career, but it hasn't prevented him from being victorious. "It hasn't stopped me, I'm still whipping dude's a***." said Usman about his injuries.
Edwards finally has the chance of shutting down his critics once and for all. Moreover, fan favorite Justin Gaethje is set to take on Rafael Fiziev after a long absence.
