Will John Cena return to SummerSlam?
Fans have been asking this question ever since Cena made his return to Monday Night RAW late last month.
John Cena made his return to WWE on June 27 episode of Monday Night RAW to mark his 20-year anniversary with WWE.
Needless to say, the recent appearance has led many to believe that the 16-time WWE Champion will once again return to WWE SummerSlam.
However, according to recent reports, John Cena might not return at SummerSlam and contrary to initial rumors, will not take on Theory inside the WWE ring.
"I can confirm that being filmed right now is Peacemaker 2 and John Cena is involved. He’s working on Peacemaker 2 as we speak." Brian Alvarez reveals.
Apparently, he’s filming Peacemaker and that’s why he can’t do SummerSlam." He further added on the potential return of John Cena at SummerSlam.

It's no wonder that Theory has been taken out of his US title storyline, and is pushed alongside his MITB contract.
It will be interesting to see if John Cena will return to the WWE ring in 2022. Needless to say, the list of options for Cena for his WWE return is endless.
