Makhahcev and Dariush were scheduled to share the UFC Octagon back in February. However, the bout was called off after Dariush suffered an injury.

Since Oliveira deserves a shot at the title belt next, it only makes sense we compare both Islam Makhahchev and Beneil Dariush's resume to decide who is more worthy of a title shot.

Beneil Dariush is on a seven fight win-streak, with 14 UFC career wins to his name.

Onn the other hand, Islam Makhachev is on an eleven fight win streak and has 12 UFC career wins to his name.

It's safe to say Dariush has faced better competition. With wins over the likes of Tony Ferguson, Carlos Diego Ferriera, Michael Johnson, and Jim Miller, Dariush is quite an experienced fighter.

While the time under Khabib Nurmagomedov continues to add more shine to his fighting, Islam Makhahchev has been incredibly dominant.

While Makhahchev may have wins to his name, Dariush's experience, his time in the sport, and his wins over higher ranked fighters makes him more worthy of a title shot against Charles Oliveira.
