UFC middleweight champion talks about aftermath of  his last title fight against Jared Cannonier at the UFC 276.

Adesanya successfully defeated Cannonier by unanimous decision over the course of 5 rounds and successfully defended his title for the fifth time.

Many fans were not impressed by Adesanya's performances. They his style was "boring" and his "defensive" fighting.

The video footage also showed fans booing Adesanya and leaving the arena even before the fight was over.

"I cried backstage. Me and [coach] Eugene [Bareman] hugged it out and he told me, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.",  said the middleweight champion.

"I was like, ‘Just give me a bourbon, I’ll be fine.’ So I expressed it, feel it, and I let it go. It’s a good way to release emotions...It’s just a normal human function", Adesanya further added.

Adesanya will next fight his old rival Alex Pereria at the UFC 281 this Saturday in the Madison Square Garden.

The middleweight champion has defended his title five successive times. If he beats Pereira on Saturday, he is all set to go down as middleweight GOAT.
