There aren't many combat sport fans who didn't watch WWE while growing up.
John Cena, Hulk Hogan, the Rock, and Ric Flar were household names, and it's safe to say we have all seen WWE at some point in our lives.
UFC's middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was no different and grew up watching his favorite WWE superstars.
In the past, Adesanya has entertained fight fans by mimicking WWE moves during his open-workouts.
In a recent conversation with BT Sports, Adesanya revealed his favorite WWE superstars and talked about how the Attitude Era inspired him.
"Watching hours, Sunday night SmackDown, Monday Night RAW. Seen the way the guys, like The Rock, Stone Cold, Booker T, or Shawn Michaels, countless names; The Hardy Boys." Adesanya said.
"The way they just handled themselves as performers definitely influenced myself in the sense that, being able to claim your space, and just be an entertainer, own the mic, own the moment." He further added.
Adesanya was more included towards the famous Attitude Era; an era of wrestling before the WWE took the PG-13 route.
"The attitude era helped me how to claim my own time." Adesanya said.
