Israel Adesanya suffered a crushing defeat to Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 281 at Madison Square Garden.
The fight ended in the 5th round after Alex Pereira hurt Israel Adesanya with a left hook and rocked him badly.
The Last Stylebender was comfortably causing towards another decision win before Alex Pereira decided to unload in the final round.
However, Israel Adesanya was compromised before going into the round 5, which might have played a factor in the outcome of the fight.
Following the loss, Israel Adesanya admitted that Alex Pereira damaged his Peroneal nerve, which certainly limited his movement.
Conor McGregor suffered the same fate in his rematch against Dustin Poirier, where he could not move after a few nasty low kicks from the Diamond.
UFC bantamweight, Sean O'Malley also suffered a defeat in a similar fashion against Marlon Vera.
However, Israel Adesanya fought with a bad leg and almost won the fight until Alex Pereira landed the vicious left hook.
