After an impressive run in the world of kickboxing, Israel Adesanya became one of the biggest stars MMA has ever seen.

Israel Adesanya has beaten some of the greatest middleweights in UFC including the likes of Robert Whittaker, Anderson Silva and Yoel Romero.

However, despite all his achievements, the Last Stylebender never wanted to become a UFC fighter to begin with.

In the Pivot podcast, Adesanya reveals he wanted to be a WWE superstar before he decided to become a fighter at the age of 18.

"For me I never wanted to be a fighter. I wanted to be a WWE superstar. That's what my family grew up watching."- Izzy said

However, once the current UFC middleweight champion had his first fight he realised that fighting is what he was born to do.

"Once I  started to get it done I realised I could be the best at this. Like Ali said I am the greatest before I said I knew I was"- Izzy continued

Israel Adesanya also showed interest in moving to WWE in future, but he also said that for now UFC is his home.
