Serena was facing one of the worst moments of her life.

Serena’s physical therapist was Esther Lee during that time.

Esther made sure that she was with Serena during this tough period.

Later that year Serena fought back and made one of her greatest comebacks ever.

Esther Lee, her physical therapist diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer.

Serena mentioned that she was one of the first people Lee contacted after being diagnosed.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated Serena shared her experience together with Lee.

Serena said that Lee was such a caretaker and never left her side.

Serena added that she immediately fell in love with Lee after their first training.
