"He came a couple of times, but he is still coming to Standford MMA. He still has recovery, he is still recovering his right hand(after surgery). So he is doing a lot of pad work, a lot of bag work, wrestling a little bit. He was helping me a couple of times not training with me but kind of coaching, kind of be on the side, lots of advice, very high IQ, very good advice, it was good to have him around."- Burns said to TMZ

Gilbert Burns even compared his relationship with Kamaru Usman to the iconic duo of Rocky and Apollo.

Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns faced each other in the UFC octagon at UFC 258.

Usman secured a TKO win over Burns to defend his UFC welterweight title.

But, if Burns can get a win over Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 273 then it is very likely that we will see a rematch between these two former teammates.
