UFC welterweight champion and the Pound for pound king, Kamaru Usman returns to action at UFC 278.
On his sixth title defense, The Nigerian Nightmare will take on Leon Edwards in a rematch in Vivint Arena, Utah.
As always leading up to the fight, the champ is going through a grueling training camp. As the champion of the world, Usman is disciplined when it comes to his diet and workouts.
But, he is also disciplined about not having sex during his fight week. In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Kamaru Usman addressed this MMA myth.
Usman made it clear that having sex in fight camp does not impact your performance in the octagon. However, Usman did regret having sex in the fight week once.
"But fight week I'm not focused on having sex. No way, not at all. I tried it one time and I realized your legs will be a little ..... you don't want to do that to your legs especially you cutting weight especially you dieting."- Usman said
Kamaru Usman explained he wants a physical and mental edge inside the octagon. And he wants to stick to a routine, which will make him perform his best on fight night.
Kamaru Usman also took a dig at Colby Covington and said that he does not want to have sex like Covington to have the "p**nstar cardio".
