Can Khamat Chimaev Become a Three Division Champion in UFC?

Conor McGregor became the first UFC fighter to become a two-division UFC champion in 2016 by beating Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.

Since then many UFC champions such as Henry Cejudo, Amanda Nunes, Daniel Cormier have achieved the Champ-Champ status.

However, there has not been a time when UFC had a talent who could potentially win three titles in three different divisions until now.

Though Conor McGregor is eying to win his third title by beating Kamaru Usman he might fall short as Usman is a daunting task for anyone in the welterweight division.

However, Khamzat Chimaev can be the first UFC fighter to win three titles in three different divisions.

The way Chimaev has outclassed the UFC welterweights during his rise in UFC it won't be surprising if he wins against Kamaru Usman.

Khamzat Chimaev's size, wrestling pedigree, and elite striking will certainly be a huge problem for the current welterweight champion.

We have already seen Chimaev outwrestling Jack Hermansson, who is one of the top grapplers in the middleweight division. And many believe that Adesanya will be an easier opponent for Chimaev as wrestling seems to be the only weakness of the current middleweight champion.

Winning the light heavyweight title will not be an easy task for Khamzat Chimaev due to the size disadvantage.

But, recently Chimaev claimed that he has sparred with the number one light heavyweight title contender Jiri Prochazka and he seemed confident that he will be able to dominate the top UFC light heavyweights.

Fans will get a lot of their questions answered when Chimaev takes on Gilbert Burns at UFC 273.

If Chimaev secures another flawless victory then he will certainly put the current  UFC welterweight and middleweight champion on notice.
