Money Changed Khamzat Chimaev?- Dana White on Chimaev's Mindset

Khamzat Chimaev is arguably one of the best prospects in UFC right now.

Chimaev has a potential to win the welterweight title and even has a successful run at middleweight.

Not so long ago, Chimaev was running through UFC welterweights and middleweights before he fought Gilbert Burns.

Lately, Khamzat Chimaev has not been as active as he used to when he made his UFC debut.

Chimaev's battle with COVID certainly had an impact on his momentum in UFC. But, Dana White believes it's the money that has possibily changed Chimaev's approach to the fight game.

"That's another one of those situations too, where you see a guy-- Who was hungrier than Khamzat Chimaev? Like he wanted to fight every weekend, he wanted the 185-pound belt, he wanted the 205-pound belt...And then you start making some money man and all that stuff slows down. I don't know. We gotta see what's next. I don't have anything for him yet."- Dana White

Khamzat Chimaev is one win away from a welterweight title fight.

And he recently agreed to fight Belal Muhammad during their back and forth on twitter. this is a fight that makes a lot of sense since both Chimaev and Muhammad are on an impressive winning streak at 170.

Fans would love the idea of Chimaev taking on Belal Muhammad before he fights for the title.
