Nate Diaz Breaks Silence Over His 10-Year Old Request From UFC

Nate Diaz is in the limelight once again and fight fans aren't too happy about it.

The Stockton Slugger has asked for his release, even putting the #FreeNateDiaz out there on social media for the fans to chime in.

Diaz revealed that he has been asking for his UFC release for as long as 10 years now. Nate recalls the time he fought Benson Henderson as the exact time he wanted to say goodbye to UFC.

Diaz fought Henderson on December 9, 2012 on UFC on Fox 5 for the UFC's lightweight championship.

In a recent conversation with Ariel Helwani of the MMA House, Nate Diaz opened up on his complaints with the UFC.

Diaz regrets his decision to sign the eight fight contract back in 2012, and believes he has made a huge mistake.

Diaz is a pioneer of sport and has been in the UFC for as long as one can remember. Needless to say, for its top-star to face issues such as these, it goes without saying, there's a huge problem.

Nate Diaz is on his last fight in his current UFC contract and it will be interesting to see what lies ahead for the Stockton Slugger.
