Is Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 3 Next?

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz have been away from the action for a while now.

McGregor has lost to Dustin Poirier twice since his return while Nate Diaz lost his last fight against Leon Edwards. Despite the losses, McGregor and Diaz are still the biggest stars in UFC.

Though Conor McGregor is aiming for a title shot against Charles Oliveira on his return a fight against Nate Diaz is certainly a possibility in 2022.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Dana White talked about what's next for Nate Diaz. UFC president stated: "We're still working on [the Diaz-Poirier] fight. That fight's not done yet. I wouldn't count out a Conor-Nate 3. Listen, I'd be shocked if that fight didn't happen again."

Nate Diaz responded to White's comments on twitter and said that McGregor would have to win a few fights in UFC before the trilogy fight. Diaz tweeted: "Conor’s gonna have to get him some wins and prove he’s not so fragile first"

Conor McGregor is still recovering from the injury he suffered during the third fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

On the other hand, Nate Diaz has one fight left in UFC contract and it seems Diaz might leave UFC after his next fight.

If Nate Diaz decides to end his UFC journey with his next fight, then a fight against Conor McGregor does not sound like a bad idea.
