Novak Djokovic Dominates in the First Round of French Open

Current World No.1 Novak Djokovic entered the French Open after winning the Italian Open.

Winning the Italian Open which was played on clay has given Djokovic the confidence to do well in the French Open.

Novak Djokovic won the French Open last year and will be looking to defend it this year as well.

Djokovic was all set to play Yoshihito Nishioka in the first round.

Japan's Nishioka is World No. 99 and was struggling against the defending champion.

As the match started Djokovic was in control right from the beginning.

The 20-time Grand Slam winner dominated the whole match and won with a score of 6-3, 6-1, 6-0.

During the post-match interview he said, “The first set was close but I cruised through the second and third.”

Djokovic added saying that he is looking forward and the memories from last year are still fresh.
