Amidst the migrant worker's death controversy, FIFA made yet another controversial decision by threatening players not to wear the "One love armband" during the 2022 FIFA world cup

Initially, Some European countries agreed to wear the "One love armband" during the world cup to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.

But their stand didn't last long, As due to the threat of getting a "yellow card" the players decided to back out from wearing the armband before the commencement of the world cup.

FIFA rules state that the captains of the respective team shall only wear the particular armband that is provided by FIFA.

Qatar also decided to prohibit the sale of alcohol in the stadium. However, they will provide an area where fans can consume alcohol despite that fans are unhappy with the decision.
