Rafael Nadal “The King Of Clay” is currently going through one of his worst periods.
Rafael Nadal was defeated by Denis Shapovalov in the round of 16 of the Italian Open.
Nadal was seeking to win his 11th Italian Open title.
Nadal completely dominated the first set with a score of 6-1.
However, Denis Shapovalov was all over Nadal since the second set.
During the match, Nadal was in great pain due to his foot injury.
Still, the Spaniard continued to give his everything till the very last moment of the match.
After the match during the press conference to everyone’s surprise Nadal hinted about his retirement.
Nadal mentioned that since 2005 his foot injury has been a barrier for him and he is a player living with injury.
Nadal, later on, added that there will come a time when his mind will say enough.
