The day which many fans feared has finally come, Roger Federer, one of the greatest athletes of all time has announced that he is retiring from the game.

After claiming a total of 20 Grand Slam titles, today on 15th September, Federer has decided his journey in this sport has finally come to end.

He announced this heartbreaking news on his social media platform where he posted a letter and also a voice note for all his fans.

He said, "Tennis has treated me more generously than I ever would have dreamt, and now I must recognize when it is time to end my competitive career."

Federer also mentioned that for the past three years he faced many injuries and surgeries, he worked hard to return but he knows his body's limits.

Roger Federer has given his fans so many epic moments which they will cherish for their whole life, the world of tennis won't be the same anymore.

He thanked all his fans, rivals, family, and sponsors and finally ended his post by saying that he loves this sport and will never leave it.
