WWE superstar Cody Rhodes confronted the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for the first time in the latest episode of SmackDown.
The two superstars came face-to-face for the first time after The Tribal chief settled his feud with Sami Zayn in the Elimination Chamber.
The story started when Roman Reigns appeared on the Blue Brand. He was quickly interrupted by the American Nightmare before he could say anything.
The members of Bloodline prepared themselves to prevent any attack on their leader. Cody eased the situation by mentioning that he meant no harm and just wanted to talk.
The winner of the Royal Rumble stated that the Roman became an unstoppable force after keeping the title for more than 900 days. This makes him excited, as he has always conquered the impossible
The Champion mocked Cody by mentioning that he had hours of conversation with Dusty Rhodes, who groomed him, but the Hall of Famer never mentioned Cody in any of their conversations.
Rhodes seems to agree with this fact and also that Roman was the son his dad always wanted. This, however, provided the former AEW star with an opportunity to prove himself worthy, so defeating Roman became a necessity.
In the end, the American Nightmare shook hands with Reigns and said, "May the best man win'. It will be interesting to see how this confrontation leaves a mark on the Tribal Chief.
