The world is deeply saddened and shocked by the news of the horrific earthquake incident in Turkey and Syria.

The magnitude of the earthquake was staggering, at 7.8, and that has led to the heartbreaking deaths of 8000+ humans.

The atrocious natural calamity has also affected the soccer fraternity, as Turkish goalkeeper Eyup Turkaslan got buried under debris.

On the other hand, slightly relieving news came out after a Ghanaian soccer player was rescued and is currently under observation, but he is out of danger.

The Ghanian FA tweeted, “We’ve received some positive news that Christian Atsu has been successfully rescued from the rubble of the collapsed building and is receiving treatment. Let’s continue to pray for Christian.”

Nana Sechere, Atsu's agent in an interview said, "There were lots of reports out of England and Ghana that Christian was safe, but the first official confirmation I had was on Tuesday morning.”

Nana further added, "His(Atsu) building was an 11-story building and he was on the ninth floor. The club officials were trying to help me find him, but it was so hard because, understandably, they were trying to find their own friends and families as well.”

Amidst this, Atsu's former club, Everton, also prayed for his speedy recovery and gave their thoughts and prayers for those who lost their lives in the earthquake.
