Swanson has been competing in the UFC Featherweight- 145 pound Division for well over a decade now. He has been inside the octagon with some of the biggest names in the sport. 

6 Fight Win Streak Extending From 2012-14

Since the upset loss to Ricardo Lamas, Swanson was on a run and tear through the Division, Although he was the clear #1 contender for the Title fight against Jose Aldo with a 6-Fight Win Streak, Still Swanson was denied the shot. Eventually he had to fight Frankie Edgar in a Title Eliminator. Unfortunately Swanson was submitted at 4:56 of the final round.

Title Quest

During the 6-Fight run Swanson accumulated wins over top future prospects by the likes of Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira and Jeremy Stephens

4-Fight Win Streak

Swanson once again was at a prime position for a title shot in 2016, as he was once again riding on a hot 4-Fight Streak and coming off a 5-Rounder win over Artem Lobov. But eventually lost to Brian Ortega as he was submitted in R-2 and since then he has never been in Title picture. 

 

After a Legendary run at the Featherweight Division, Swanson was at the Tail end of his career after losing 4 fights in a row.  But Swanson was able to make a comeback after back to back wins against Kron Gracie and KO win over Daniel Pineda, Cub is ready for another run even at the age of 37.
