SPORTSMANOR
Other than his remarkable presence in the MMA world, the fighter is also known for his heroic acts in real life.
The welterweight subdued a gunman earlier this year with his skills.
The incident took place at a restaurant at Houston in March.
Holland was reportedly eating at the restaurant when he noticed a civilian wrestling with the shooter to take away the gun from him.
Holland helped disarming the man, pinning him with rear-naked choke and handed him to the police officers, successfully.
He said in an interview "I wouldn't tell the next person to do it unless they're seriously trained for that type of situation. Besides doing cage fighting, I train self-defense first and foremost. For me, that was the best way to defend myself at the moment. Plus, I like Batman."
It wasn't the fighter's first act of heroism for he has tackled with a similar incident before.
In October last year, Holland stopped a potential car theft from happening and helped the Police catching the Bandit.
Holland's presence of mind is truly applaudable and he indeed is a real life superhero!
