Eddie Alvarez is undeniably one of the greatest Lightweights to ever step foot inside the octagon. He is a former Bellator LW Champion & Later also became the UFC LW Champion. Eddie's resume is legendary and is now pursuing the ONE Championship Lightweight Title.
Michael Chandler
Arguably the Greatest Lightweight outside of UFC, Michael Chandler was on a run and tear through the Bellator LW division for well over a decade now. He was the former 2-time Bellator LW Champion and is now pursuing the UFC LW Gold.
Chandler vs Alvarez - 1
For the first time, the two legendary LW Titans collided at Bellator 58 as the Main Event in 2011 for the Bellator LW Title. From the get go Chandler was super aggressive and dropped Eddie in wild exchanged. But later on the Alvarez took control of the fight until the trip, in round 4 Chandler submitted Alvarez via a rear naked choke and became the new LW Champion.

It was considered the super fight of 2013, as the reigning champion, Chandler was set to defend his LW title against Alvarez. It became the Fight of the year of 2013, In an absolute war with wild exchanges, Eddie got the decision over Chandler and regained the Bellator LW strap.
After being 1-1, the trilogy is absolutely a Super fight of sorts and can be expected to give pure violence inside the octagon. But now Chandler has signed with the UFC and Alvarez has signed with ONE Championship. Hence, it is not likely that the trilogy can come anytime soon.
