The current UFC flyweight champion, Deiveson Figueiredo certainly has a tough decision to make.
Deiveson Figueiredo is likely to defend his title against the winner of Brandon Moreno vs Kai Kara France next.
However, Figueiredo also has his eyes set on winning the UFC bantamweight title.
It's not easy for Deiveson Figueiredo, who is one of the biggest guys in the division, to cut weight for the flyweight fights.
“I can't make it to the age of 35, cutting weight at flyweight. It won't give any more. I plan on making two or three more belt defenses in a year, and then moving up to bantamweight."- Deiveson Figueiredo on moving up to 135
Deiveson Figueiredo took a dig at the current bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling and said Sterling is afraid to face him.
"For what I represent, I think I deserve to get there fighting for the belt. I want to face the champion, Aljamain Sterling. I see fear in his eyes. I know he doesn't want to face me, and I'm sure we'll have a great fight and I'll be champion when that happens."
Deiveson Figueiredo's power will certainly be a threat in the bantamweight division as well. However, he will have a size disadvantage against some of the top bantamweights in the world.
