WhatsApp texts about Cristiano Ronaldo signing an obscure contract have been disclosed as a result of the investigation into the Juventus transfer scandal.
In order to reassure investors, Juventus publicly stated that they were unable to pay their athletes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, as per the reports of Football Italia, it has lately come to our attention that certain players received covert new contracts.
Ronaldo is one of the athletes who inwardly signed a deal for 2021, and Juventus has also made false claims about a pay cut. So, the financial controversy hearing is set for April 19.
The WhatsApp chats between many Juventus directors, in which they discussed Ronaldo’s condition, went viral. This made Ronaldo's identity public.
Club secretary Paolo Marganti verified that Ronaldo had reached a deal on a contract for April 2021. Paolo said, "Second salary manoeuvre, Cristiano has signed. He has a copy of all the documents."
The Italian club is currently embroiled in significant controversy. It was also recently discovered that the club had raised player market values in order to boost yearly profits.
Additionally, they were charged with deceiving the public about salary freezes during the pandemic, which Ronaldo's covert pact appears to confirm.
