New developments that have come to light about Bill Gates and his alleged affair with a Russian Bridge player have shocked the world. This development also involves American financier and s*x offender Jeffrey Epstein who died in jail in 2019. According to a Wall Street Journal report, Epstein tried to extort money from Gates by threatening to expose his affair.
The Russian Bridge player was also named in the report. Her name is Mila Antonova. She was well-versed in the card game known as Bridge. According to the official website of the World Bridge Federation, “Bridge is the ultimate trick-taking card game, easily the greatest source of enjoyment that four people can have with a pack of cards.
Bridge is a sport: the World Bridge Federation is recognized by the International Olympic Committee.”
The game is played with a standard 52-card deck with four players (two teams of two players). Each teammate sits opposite each other around the table and is dealt 13 cards. It is one of the world’s most-played card games, particularly among old age people.
Bridge is also the game due to which Antonova came into contact with both Gates and Epstein. Let’s find out more about the controversy that led to Epstein’s alleged extortion attempt.
Jeffrey Epstein tried to extort money from Bill Gates over his alleged affair with Russian Bridge player
As stated in the WSJ report, the billionaire Microsoft co-founder met Antonova in late 2009. They met in Washington, DC at the North American Bridge Championships a year earlier.
“I didn’t beat him, but I tried to kick him with my leg,” she said in a video that was posted online in 2010.
Antonova did not comment on her alleged relationship with Gates and it is unknown when it began. However, Gates was married at the time to Melinda. The couple got divorced in May 2021.
On the other hand, Antonova met Epstein when she was looking for funding for her Bridge club. It is reported that the Russian met Epstein in 2013 as she was trying to raise around $500,000 for her BridgePlanet venture. However, the venture did not take off and she opted for software programming. Epstein somehow agreed to pay for her boot camp.

“Epstein agreed to pay, and he paid directly to the school,” Antonova told the Journal. “Nothing was exchanged. I don’t know why he did that. When I asked, he said something like he was wealthy and wanted to help people when he could.”
In 2017, Gates declined to contribute to the convicted s*x offender’s multibillion-dollar charity. It is believed that due to this, Epstein emailed Gates about refunding him the amount he paid for Antonova’s boot camp.
A representative of Bill Gates said that the philanthropist did not pay much heed to the threat. No money was paid to Epstein.
